Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal touched the milestone of 15,000 runs as the first Bangladeshi cricketer.
Tamim made the record on his 34th birthday and in the second ODI match against visiting Ireland in Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Before batting this game, Tamim needed 14 runs to reach the milestone of 15,000 runs. He scored 23 runs off 31 balls before backing to the pavilion.
The opener played 383 matches and 444 innings in three formats to become the member of 15,000 runs club member in international cricket.
Tamim is followed by ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and wicket-keeper batter Mushfiqur Rahim in the highest runs.
