The July uprising have also launched a new organization called ‘Bangladesh Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangsad’. The convener of the organization is Abu Baker Majumder. This new political student organization was launched Wednesday afternoon at the Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University. A new political party is being born on Friday, amid a grand event.
The countrymen's six-month wait for this party to change the traditional political trend of the country is coming to an end. This party is a combination of many views and paths. Not only students, but also the public are in this party.
Former army officers met with the leaders of this party and said that they have a vote bank of one crore. BNP had objections from the beginning that the party was being born under government sponsorship, and still does.
However, regardless of the objections or non-objections, the party is finally starting its journey with all the preparations to come to power in the next election. Everyone has been waiting for such a special guest in the political arena for so long. All the reforms to change the state are also for this new guest. So why delay now, announce the election roadmap now. Decorate the stadium for the election. Make the election field equal for everyone. Keep the referee neutral. At the same time, be careful of those who are stirring up trouble for fixing election matches. The people are the owners of the state. Make the owner understand his ownership.
Bangladesh has been a game of intrigue and conspiracy since its birth. The game of Bangladesh's birth, due to Pakistan's authoritarianism, exploitation and the Himalayan-like arrogance of the then rulers, went to India. India has always tried to make Bangladesh their tributary state in exchange for cooperation in the liberation war.
In the past 53 years, India has never been on the side of Bangladesh. It has been on the side of a family. After the assassination of Sheikh Mujib in 1975, India raised two members of that family, Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana. After teaching her everything, they sent Sheikh Hasina to Bangladesh on May 17, 1981, making her the president of the Awami League. Just 13 days after she returned home, President Ziaur Rahman was killed on May 30. Since then, India has started playing very hard with Bangladesh.
For the past 16 years, India has been the guardian of the Awami League. That is why it has made an attempt to establish Bangladesh as a militant state in the eyes of the world by creating the militant issue to maintain control over this territory.
Just as India has prepared a script for a militant plot, the previous Awami League government has perfected the script by simply shooting according to that script. After the July Revolution, they have once again taken their beloved people to their own safety.
After Dr. Muhammad Yunus took charge of the interim government, the neighboring country has been in a lot of trouble. They are now in danger by trying to put pressure on this government in various ways. However, there are no militants in this country anymore. There is no politics about militants either. Because India knows that Dr. Muhammad Yunus cannot be involved in the issue of terrorism. The whole world knows him. Keeping our next elections in front, India's new conspiracy of division has started. The main goal of the neighbor is to break our united strength into pieces and thwart the July Revolution. Along with this, the neighbor will also play with our law and order.
The militant series package they had in the last 15 years with the alem community, devout Muslims, beards, caps, and hijabs is no longer working. With the support of our own secular civil society, about 1500 innocent people have been killed by being framed as militants. Countless more people have been sentenced to prison. Our neighbors will be active with new agendas and new plans as usual, keeping the next elections in view. So all parties should be careful.
In verse 30 of Surah Ash-Shura of the Holy Quran, Allah Subhanahu Twaala says, ‘Whatever calamity befalls you is the result of your deeds and He forgives many of your sins.’ In the Gita, Lord Krishna says, ‘Karmane Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana’. That is, you have the right to do your deeds, but the results of your deeds are not in your hands. You can do whatever you want, but the results are in the hands of nature. You will have to suffer the consequences of your deeds according to the laws of nature.’ Not only the Holy Quran and the Gita, but all religious scriptures talk about the results of your deeds.
But we, the people, do not remember that. The previous government, to perpetuate its power, conducted night votes, I vote, and dummy votes. And in those votes, overly enthusiastic DCs and SPs played the role of party workers or, so to speak, party puppets. Especially the scandal that took place in the 2018 elections is unprecedented. In that election, every DC-SP competed to please the high command. Later, they were rewarded with promotions and good postings.
After that election, just as the government thought that they had a permanent settlement. Similarly, the DC-SPs became unstoppable in the administration. Many senior officials were cornered by their influence.
Now, as a result of that act, the government has dismissed them. Such an example of punishment in the administration was very necessary. For this, the interim government deserves thanks. Those who worked behind the destruction of the rule of law, justice, administration, democratic and constitutional institutions must also be identified. Strict action must be taken against them. These are also part of the reform process.
Preparations for the next election are underway. Reforms before, or elections before. Local government elections before, or national elections before – that debate is now going on. However, whatever the decision is, it is hoped that it will be clear as soon as possible.
All the government officials who will be responsible for the upcoming election process should learn from the consequences of their predecessors' deeds. Even if pressured by a special group, they should not take sides and should stand for justice and the rule of law. If this is violated, they will have to face the same fate as the DC-SPs of the 2018 elections - there is no doubt about it. Power and respect are blessings given by Allah. If a servant cannot maintain it, or cannot protect his own dignity, then there is no point in political vendetta or blaming others. At the end of the day, one has to suffer the fruits of one's deeds.
The country's economy is now on the brink of a cliff. Although Financial Advisor Dr. Saleh Uddin Ahmed said that the current government has pulled the country's economy from the brink of a cliff. Thanks to the government's efforts to pull it up. But no positive impact is yet seen on the country's economy. The businessmen have already facing difficulties. Now all that remains is to take the hurricane in hand.
Everything seems as if the only enemy of the country is not the Awami League, but the business class. No one is on their side. The relationship between the government and the businessmen is now like two neighbors in a flat building. No one keeps track of anyone. When they meet, they just exchange greetings out of courtesy.
Instead of helping businessmen, banks are making profits by trading bonds. There is no new investment in the private sector. There is no new employment. On the contrary, many factories have closed. Unemployment has increased. If this continues, the path of democracy will be difficult. Social stability and a dynamic economy are prerequisites for a democratic system. The job of the interim government is not just to end its duties with an election. It is also necessary to ensure that those who will be handed over the baton of the relay race of power can run smoothly. The driving force of the economy in the whole world is the business community. If they are disappointed and feel helpless, then it is not good news for the country. Therefore, the country's economy must be strengthened by taking the confidence of businessmen.
The July Revolution also demanded freedom of speech and absolute tolerance. We are committed to reform, but we could not be absolutely tolerant. Last week, someone may have a different opinion about my article titled 'Dr. Yunus's New Dream, New Party, Jamaat Politics'. There is freedom of expression. However, it was expressed in an intolerant manner. A leader of a political party called and talked to me aggressively. He threatened to take a look into the matter. The language and mood in which he talked is comparable to any terrible terrorist. I have informed the dear readers of this information. The expectation of the July Revolution was that freedom of expression would be available. But it was not. The media was not free from pressure in the past either. It is not free from pressure now. The level and type of pressure at each time is different.
However, the pressure of the dear readers on the media is to reveal the truth. We will always be with the readers by keeping this in mind.
