China will establish a specialized hospital in Bangladesh at a cost of Tk 2,000 crore, aiming to ensure quality treatment for the country’s citizens, reports Daily Sun.
“We are searching for a suitable place. China will begin work, involving Tk 2,000 crore, soon after getting the place,” Shafiqul Alam, press secretary of the chief adviser, has recently said during an interview with a private TV channel.
China is extending its helping hand in establishing the hospital in Bangladesh when neighboring India suspended issuing visa for Bangladeshis following the ouster of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through a mass upsurge on 5 August.
