Rock music fans in Bangladesh are in for a thrilling experience this November as two South Asian rock legends — Bangladesh’s Nagarbaul James and Pakistan’s Ali Azmat, the former lead vocalist of the iconic band Junoon — are set to share the same stage for the first time in Dhaka.
The concert, titled “Ali Azmat and Nagarbaul James Live in Dhaka,” will be held on 14 November at the United Convention Center in the capital’s Kurmitola, promising an electrifying evening of cross-border rock energy.
Organised by Get Set Rock, the show is expected to draw thousands of fans eager to witness two of the region’s most powerful voices perform under one roof. Tickets for the event are already available through the Get Set Rock online platform, offered in three categories to accommodate fans of varying preferences. Gates will open at 5:00pm, with the performance starting at 6:00pm.
The announcement of this joint concert comes amid intense public discussion following the cancellation of James’ scheduled show in Meherpur last month. The event was called off due to a lack of official permission from local authorities, sparking widespread criticism and disappointment on social media.
Ali Azmat, renowned for timeless hits like “Sayonee”, “Jazba-e-Junoon” and “Bulleya”, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of rock enthusiasts across South Asia.
