In a move straight out of a sci-fi romance, Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas are reportedly considering outer space as a potential venue for their wedding. The adventurous pair, both known for pushing boundaries on and off screen, are said to be planning a celebration that defies tradition and embraces the extreme.
Sources close to the couple revealed to RadarOnline that the idea of a sky-high or even interstellar ceremony is very much on the table. "Tom is obsessed with space travel, so the idea of being the first couple to marry in outer space really excites him," said one insider. "They’ve even discussed skydiving into their vows — whatever they do, it won't be ordinary."
Although they’re not officially engaged yet, the couple, who are clearly keen to make their wedding unforgettable, don’t want anything "ordinary". “Whatever they do, they want it to be as far from ordinary as you can get, the insider added.
The 63-year-old 'Top Gun' star and 37-year-old Cuban actress have kept their relationship fairly private. However, they’ve been moving quickly since they started dating earlier this year, with their romance confirmed in July when they were spotted holding hands during a getaway in Vermont.
There’s also talk of them working together on a film, a supernatural ocean thriller called 'Deeper', though it's currently on hold.
Tom, who has been married three times before, to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes, is reportedly hoping this will be the relationship that lasts.
And when it comes to their wedding, Tom is not planning to hold back. "He and Ana both want an extravagant wedding, regardless of what people are going to say," the source added. While final details of the wedding remain undecided, their intent to break new ground with their ceremony remains clear.
