Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has officially joined the billionaire club, becoming the world’s wealthiest actor with a net worth of $1.4 billion (Rs 12,490 crore). The Hurun India Rich List 2025, released on 1 October, confirms the actor’s remarkable financial milestone after 33 years in the film industry.
The latest Hurun report highlights Shah Rukh’s impressive rise on the international stage. It states, “Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan (59), joins the billionaire club for the first time with a wealth of INR 12,490 Crore."
The actor’s fortune now exceeds that of several international celebrities, including Taylor Swift ($1.3 billion), Arnold Schwarzenegger ($1.2 billion), Jerry Seinfeld ($1.2 billion), and Selena Gomez ($720 million).
Shah Rukh has maintained his position as India’s richest actor for years. According to the Hurun list, the gap between him and his peers is widening. Actress and entrepreneur Juhi Chawla, along with her family, ranks next with a reported net worth of Rs 7,790 crore, while Hrithik Roshan holds third place at Rs 2,160 crore.
Last year, Shah Rukh topped the actors’ list with a net worth of $870 million. The jump to $1.4 billion underscores the growth of his business ventures alongside his cinematic career.
Over nearly three decades, Shah Rukh Khan has built a diversified portfolio that extends beyond acting. His investments include the Red Chillies Entertainment production house, a VFX studio, multiple cricket teams, and substantial real estate holdings in the Middle East.
This year, Shah Rukh’s unparalleled contribution to Indian cinema was also officially recognised when he was awarded the prestigious National Film Award for Best Actor.
