The world’s most prestigious award for films is the Oscars. The 98th edition of the event will be held on 15 March 2026.

The Bangladesh Oscar Committee had called for Bangladesh to send films to the Best International Film (International Feature Film) category of the 98th Academy Awards. This year, 16 September was the last day for film submissions. Five films, “Saba”, “Barir Naam Shahana”, “Nakshi Kathar Zamin”, “Priyo Maloti” and “Moyna”, were submitted within the stipulated time.
