Popular director Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz is set to return with a new project titled “Sohojatri”, starring Farhan Ahmed Jovan and Naznin Nahar Niha in the lead roles.
The YouTube film portrays an unusual incident in the life of a married couple.
Written by Jobayed Ahsan and directed by Raz, the YouTube film delves into the complexities of marital relationships. Without revealing much about the plot, Raz said, “Husband and wife are a relationship given by the Creator. A happy married life is built on love, dignity, and affection for each other. But when these feelings become invisible, it raises questions. I have tried to show how such thoughts can push a husband and wife. However, instead of an atmosphere of separation, the audience will find a rather ironic tone in the story.”
The shooting of “Sohojatri” took place from August 22 to 27 across different locations in Dhaka, including Farmgate, Uttara, and Savar.
The film also features an original song titled “Aghat”, sung by Arfin Rumey and Dola Rahman, with lyrics by Lutfar Hasan and music composition by Shahriar Marcel.
Alongside Jovan and Niha, the cast includes Intekhab Dinar, Ejajul Islam, Monira Akhter Mithu, Sushama Sarker, Mahmudul Islam Mithu, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, and Shamim Mollah.
Sohojatri will be released in September on the YouTube channel Cinemawala.
