Interim government’s Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki is now out of danger, his wife and actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha has said.
She shared the latest update on Farooki’s health Saturday night (August 16) through her verified Facebook account.
Tisha wrote, “Mostofa Sarwar Farooki suddenly fell ill while attending a ministry workshop in Cox’s Bazar and was brought back to Dhaka. He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. Doctors have said he is out of danger for now. Please keep him in your prayers.”
Farooki’s official tour was canceled after he became unwell on Saturday evening. Local doctors first provided him with primary treatment. At one stage, as he began sweating profusely, doctors advised that he be shifted to Dhaka. Around 10:30 pm, he was airlifted to the capital in an air force medical helicopter for treatment.
He was scheduled to attend several events in Cox’s Bazar, including meetings on establishing a cultural hub and a July memorial monument.
