Four Bangladeshi films will be screened at the “8th Toronto Multicultural Film Festival” in Toronto, Canada. The five-day festival will screen the films “1971: Sei Shob Din”, “Aam Kathaler Chhuti”, “Agantuk” and “Noya Manush”.
This film festival will be held at Cineplex Oden Eglinton Town Centre in Toronto from 24 to 28 August.
The screenings will run from 6 pm to 11 pm daily. The film festival has been organised by the Toronto Film Forum every year since 2017.
This year’s festival will screen 47 films from 28 countries. “Aam Kathaler Chhuti” from Bangladesh will be screened on the first day along with films from other countries.
“Noya Manush” will be shown on 25 August and “1971: Shei Shob Din” and “Agantuk” will be screened on the last day.
The children’s genre movie “Aam Khathaler Chhuti” has been directed by Mohammad Nuruzzaman. It stars Lyon, Zubayer, Arif, Halima and Tanzil.
“Noya Manush” is a movie about the life of the hardworking people of the Char and the whims of nature, directed by Sohel Rana Boyati. The movie is based on the novel “Bedonar Baluchore” by AM Hasanuzzaman.
“1971: Shei Shob Din” is a movie about the cultural movement and a family in 1971 and some events of that time based on the story of Enamul Haque. The movie was produced by Lucky Inam and produced by Hridi Haq.
‘Agantuk’ is directed by Biplob Sarkar. Actor Ferdousi Majumdar plays an important role in the film. The story of the film revolves around a 10-year-old child named Kajol.
