Putting all speculations to rest, Tollywood popular pair Dev and Subhashree Ganguly-starrer film “Dhumketu” was released in theatres in West Bengal on Thursday after a 10-year-hiatus.
According to the Kolkata’s media, the audience’s excitement about the film went gone viral on social media since the night before the release of this film. Viewers were flocking to the hall since seven in the morning to watch “Dhumketu”.
Actor Dev also expressed his gratitude to all the viewers and wrote on social media, “Thank you very much to everyone for giving ‘Dhumketu’ the biggest opening of Bengali cinema. For giving such good reviews since morning and for making this film so big with love.”
The Kaushik Ganguly-directed film was initially planned for release on 7 October 2016, on the occasion of Durga Puja, but was postponed due to unfinished post-production work.
