Siam Ahmed and Raihan Rafi team up again after their successful collaboration in “Poramon 2” and “Damaal”.
Both of them have really made a name for themselves in the Dhallywood industry, and their reunion in “Andhar” is definitely creating a lot of buzz. The shift to the horror genre is especially intriguing, considering Rafi’s previous success with thrillers, romance, and action. It’ll be interesting to see how he tackles the supernatural elements in “Andhar”.
According to sources, another popular actor Chanchal Chowdhury will play an important role in the film.
However, the heroine of the film has been kept a secret for a long time. Multiple sources have confirmed that the heroine of the film is Nazifa Tushi. This is the first time that Siam and Tushi are pairing up on the big screen.
It is already known that Tushi has been finalised. Earlier, she gained popularity by acting in the films “Ice Cream” and “Hawa”. She has also acted in OTT “Dark Side of Dhaka”, “Network er Baire” and “Syndicate”.
Artistes have limitations to maintain, she said, adding, “I cannot say anything for now; the team and the director will determine what to reveal.”
Earlier, Siam acted in “Poramon 2”, “Damaal” and the web film “Taan” directed by Rafi. On the other hand, Tushi acted in “Dark Side of Dhaka” directed by Rafi.
The story of “Andhar” is written by Saidus Salehin Sumon — also known as Bassbaba Sumon from Aurthohin band — Shakib Chowdhury and Adnan Adib Khan.
If everything goes according to plan, shooting will begin next month. The authorities concerned said they intend to release the film outside the two Eid seasons. Pre-production work is currently underway.
