Jaya Ahsan, one of the most celebrated actresses in both Bengali film industries, is currently enjoying a successful career phase. After starring in Tandav and Utshob over Eid, her films Dear Maa and Putulnacher Itikatha were released in Kolkata in July and August. Amid this professional success, Jaya recently broke her silence on her personal life in a revealing interview with Indulge Express, sparking fresh discussions.
Known for keeping her private life under wraps, Jaya admitted for the first time that she has someone special in her life. “Yes, of course, there is. A person cannot live alone,” she shared candidly. However, she clarified that this individual is not from the film industry.
“We’ve been together for many years... It’s important to be good friends before becoming partners in any relationship. We’ve built that,” Jaya explained. She also spoke about the support her partner provides, saying, “He’s endured a lot from me. I travel often, work long hours, and stay in Kolkata for extended periods—none of this bothers him. Letting me focus on my work is a big deal.”
When asked about marriage, Jaya admitted uncertainty, stating, “I can’t say anything right now. I don’t know if I’ll want to get married soon or at all. But yes, I respect the idea of marriage and living together.”
In response to further questioning on whether she feels "ready" for marriage, she revealed, “It’s not really about being ready. I have a fear. Maybe it’s tied to past experiences... I think that’s part of it.”
Jaya’s honest reflection on her love life and marriage has piqued interest, offering a glimpse into the more personal side of the actress behind her successful career.
