Popular small screen actor Tanjin Tisha has been offered for acting in film several times since the beginning of her career. She has always turned them down by saying that she will only act in films if the story is to her liking. Finally, the time has come, Tisha has crossed the small screen and now made her name on the big screen.
However, not in Dhallywood, Tisha is going to make her big screen debut with a Tollywood film.
Kolkata’s director MN Raj is going to direct the film titled “Bhalobasar Morshum”, a love story that brings together actors from India and Bangladesh. Besides Tanjin Tisha, the film features an ensemble cast, including ‘Three Idiots’ actor Sharman Joshi and Susmita Chatterjee.
Bangladeshi actor Khairul Basar was supposed to be with the project. But suddenly the actor announced that he would not be in the film.
In a Facebook post, Khairul Basar wrote, “Talks were going on to be involved in the film ‘Bhalobasar Morshum’. I was going to sign the contract very soon, if I could resolve the schedule complications. Due to unavoidable reasons, I cannot be in this film.”
According to Kolkata’s media, produced by Meher Entertainment Ventures in association with Himani Films and co-produced by Mufasa Creations, the upcoming romantic drama tells a story of love and longing. The relationship-based story highlights how the clash between the past and the present affects lives.
This is going to be Sharman’s first Bengali film. Since the story revolves around Tisha, she will have chemistry with both Sharman and Basar.
Talking to Kolkata’s media, Sharman Joshi said, “I’m a huge fan of Satyajit Ray. I have been watching Bengali cinema for many years. In fact, I was a part of the film ‘Gang of Ghosts’, which was a remake of the Bengali film ‘Bhooter Bhobishyot’. With regional cinema making its mark, it is an exciting time for all of us.”
It is known that the shooting of the film will start in Darjeeling in the first week of September. It will continue for 23 consecutive days. Then it will be in Murshidabad in October. If everything goes well, the film will be released on the occasion of Valentine’s Day next year.
