Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) training aircraft crashed into the primary school building inside the Milestone College campus at Diabari in the capital’s Uttara and burst into flames on Monday afternoon. Many injured including children and the death toll is rising.
An outpouring of grief has swept across social media, with celebrities joining the chorus of sorrow and solidarity. From heartfelt messages of condolence to emotional tributes, actors, musicians, and public figures have extended their sympathies to the victims’ families.
Film star Shakib Khan expressed his condolences. In a Facebook post, the actor wrote, “I express my deepest condolences to all those who lost their lives in the tragic plane crash at an educational institution in Uttara, the capital. May Allah Almighty grant the injured a speedy recovery and give the families the strength to get through this difficult time.”
Apu Biswas wrote: “Horrific plane crash at Uttara Diabari Milestone College. Many innocent children and teachers were seriously injured in this tragic accident. These children are our children. It is the responsibility of all of us to stand by them now.”
“May Allah help you, protect these innocent children, and grant patience to all parents”, wrote popular Dhallywood actress Bubly.
Actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba wrote: “Prayers for Uttara Milestone College”.
Actor Mehazabien Chowdhury wrote, “The tragic plane crash in the Diabari area of Uttara is very sad, I’m shocked by such an incident. I ask for prayers for everyone. Prayers for everyone.”
“What terrible news! Praying for the children, teachers and guardians of Milestone College Uttara,” actor and activist Rafiath Rashid Mithila wrote.
Sadia Ayman wrote on social media, “The news of the crash of a training plane over Milestone College in Uttara is very heartbreaking. O Allah, keep the children, students, teachers, staff and everyone around you in your care. I pray for peace and forgiveness for those who lost their lives. Ameen.”
Tasnia Farin wrote in a Facebook post, “Praying for Milestone.”
Puja Chery wrote, “Oh God, protect everyone.” Actor Tawsif Mahbub wrote, “Those who are around Uttara and can donate blood please go to the nearby hospital.”
Musician Imran Mahmudul also expressed his grief, saying “May Allah help us, protect everyone, including the children, from the horrific plane crash on the college campus in the milestone of our beloved Bangladesh.”
Small screen actor Ziaul Hoque Polash wrote, “Pray for all the students of Milestone School and College.”
