The popular music band Shironamhin has launched a new track paying tribute to overseas workers. Titled “Kotodur,” the song premiered on the band’s official YouTube channel last Thursday.
Shironamhin also has shared the song on their Facebook page and wrote,“Those whose lives have been carried far away... like a lantern, or like a broken kite. Those who are working hard day and night to keep their families well, and who are making an important contribution to the country’s economy by sending remittances - this is our song for them.”
The lyrics and melody of the song are written by the band’s main member Ziaur Rahman. He also directed the video.
Kazi Tanim Shahriar, Tasifa Tasu, Sheikh Swapna, Resh Rahman, Tanjib Ferdous, Sheikh Mohibul, Shahriar Rohan and Ahsan Rabib act as models in the song’s video.
The video was shot in Bangladesh and Thailand.
