Global K-pop phenomenon BTS is gearing up to release their inaugural live album, “Permission to Dance on Stage – Live,” accompanied by a digital companion piece titled “BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul.”
The live album captures the essence of BTS’s massive “Permission to Dance on Stage” tour, which launched as an online concert in October 2021 before evolving into a worldwide arena spectacle.
The tour’s 12 shows across Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas drew over 4 million total attendees and viewers through both in-person concerts and virtual streams.
Featuring 22 tracks from the tour, the album includes live versions of the septet’s chart-topping hits “Dynamite,” “Butter,” “Life Goes On,” “Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey)” and “ON,” marking the first official release of these songs in live format. The recording promises to capture “the electrifying energy and dynamic soundscape” that resonated through stadiums worldwide during the tour.
The Seoul digital component offers fans a comprehensive look at the tour’s final leg, featuring a 141-minute video compilation from the group’s closing performance at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium in March 2022. The package includes a 92-page interview photobook with behind-the-scenes content, accessible through a digital card format that unlocks high-definition VOD content on the Weverse platform.
The Grammy-nominated seven-member group — RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook — debuted in June 2013 and has since shattered numerous industry records. Their recent accomplishments include six No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles since 2020 and multiple sold-out stadium tours.
BTS earned five Grammy nominations across the 63rd to 65th Grammy Awards and has collected honors from the Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards (Artist of the Year 2021), and MTV Video Music Awards. All seven members recently completed their mandatory military service and reunited in June.
“Permission to Dance on Stage – Live” will be available on streaming platforms worldwide July 18, with pre-orders beginning July 1 through online and offline retailers.
