Netflix has officially announced the release plan for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of Stranger Things, and it's coming in three parts.
The first installment will premiere on November 26, followed by the second on December 25, and the series finale is set to arrive on December 31, making it a dramatic way to close out the year.
The beloved sci-fi hit, created by the Duffer Brothers, brings back its full ensemble cast, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, Sadie Sink, and more.
Notably, Linda Hamilton, famed for her role in Terminator, joins the final season in a mysterious new role.
Season 4, which premiered in two parts in May and July 2022, left fans on edge with its emotionally charged finale. The gang faced off against the villainous Vecna, leaving Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) in a coma and Hawkins on the brink of collapse as the Upside Down began to spread.
In a recent Variety interview, the Duffer Brothers teased that Max will still have a significant role in Season 5 despite her condition. Matt Duffer described a recent scene filmed with Sink as “absolutely heartbreaking,” adding, “I don’t know how she hits those notes.”
With its final chapter set to unfold over the holiday season, Stranger Things is gearing up to deliver an epic conclusion to one of Netflix’s most iconic series.
