‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, witnessed a dip in box office numbers on its first Monday, earning ₹4.75 crore, according to early estimates by Sacnilk.com.
Despite the drop, the Karan Sharma-directed time-loop comedy has maintained steady momentum since its release on Friday.
The film opened with ₹7 crore on day one, followed by ₹9.5 crore on Saturday and ₹11.5 crore on Sunday. With Monday’s collections included, the film has so far amassed a total of ₹32.74 crore at the domestic box office. The film recorded a 14.16% Hindi occupancy on Monday, reports Hindustan Times.
‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ is performing better than Rajkummar Rao’s earlier 2024 release, ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, which had collected ₹2.4 crore on its fourth day. However, it still trails behind the actor’s hit horror-comedy ‘Stree 2’, which earned ₹55.9 crore on day four.
The film, produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, also features Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, and Ishtiyak Khan in supporting roles.
The plot follows a man who finds himself trapped in a time loop on the day before his wedding, leading to a series of hilarious and thought-provoking events.
Bhool Chuk Maaf continues its theatrical run and is expected to pick up momentum with positive word of mouth.
