Dhallywood actor Nusraat Faria, who was arrested in a murder attempt case during the anti-discrimination movement, was released from jail last Tuesday. After that, the actor expressed her gratitude to everyone who had stood by her side after coming out of prison.
The actor is suffering from serious illness and she is under a doctor’s close observation. Faria revealed the news in a Facebook post on Friday afternoon. She said, “It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that I’m currently suffering from a serious illness and I’m under close observation by a specialist doctor,” the post reads.
“I know that many of you are repeatedly trying to find out about me and interview me. Your love and concern are truly touching me. As part of my treatment, all forms of communication with the outside world have been halted for some time now—there is also a strict ban on using the phone. I sincerely apologise for not being able to talk to anyone in this situation. I hope you understand,” the post added.
Expressing her conviction that she will recover and return to everyone soon, Nusraat Faria wrote, “I believe that I will be able to overcome this difficult time quickly and return to you healthy again. The last few days have been the most difficult and sensitive time of my life.”
Earlier, the actor was stopped by the immigration police at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Sunday while going to Thailand. After that, Faria was arrested in an attempt to murder case filed at the Bhatara Police Station of the DMP and taken to court. The court ordered the actor to be sent to jail.
