Actress Nusrat Faria has been taken from Vatara Police Station to the Detective Branch (DB) office in the capital. She is currently being interrogated there.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Joint Commissioner (DB-North) Rabiul Hossain Bhuiyan confirmed the matter on Sunday afternoon.
He said that Nusrat Faria was brought to the DB office from Vatara Police Station around 4:00 pm. She is being questioned, and further details will be provided later.
Earlier, Dhallywood actress Nusraat Faria was detained at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport en route to Thailand on Sunday afternoon.
Nusraat Faria is accused of an attempted murder case. The case was filed against her and 16 other actors for allegedly attempting to murder a student during an anti-discrimination student movement in the capital’s Vatara.
Other accused in the case include -- Apu Biswas, Nipun Akter, Ashna Habib Bhabna, Zayed Khan, Suborna Mustafa, Rokeya Prachy, Sohana Saba, Meher Afroz Shaon, Jyotika Jyoti, Symon Sadik and Azizul Hakim.
