National Award-winning Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to make her Hollywood debut in the upcoming horror drama ‘Blessed Be The Evil’.
The actress will take on the lead role in the film, alongside ‘Teen Wolf’ star Tyler Posey and Scarlett Rose Stallone, as reported by Variety.
The film centers around a Christian couple who, after experiencing a tragic miscarriage, relocate to an abandoned farm with a mysterious past. As they attempt to heal and rebuild their lives, they find their love and faith increasingly tested by a sinister presence lurking on the property.
Blessed Be The Evil is being produced by Lions Movies and will begin production this summer in New York. The choice of location was made to sidestep any potential issues related to the recently imposed Trump industry tariffs. The film will be directed by Anurag Rudra, known for Tailing Pond, who co-wrote the screenplay with Gatha Tiwary, president and founder of Lions Movies.
Rudra shared his excitement about the project, saying, "Having grown up in rural India, I was deeply influenced by local folklore and stories. I wanted to bring these stories to a global audience through the powerful medium of cinema."
Tiwary also spoke about the unique appeal of the film, stating, "A story like Blessed Be The Evil is truly one-of-a-kind. It's a chilling narrative filled with suspense and drama, offering great potential for both international streaming and theatrical markets."
Kangana Ranaut, known for her dynamic roles in Bollywood, brings immense star power to the film. With four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards to her name, she is also an accomplished filmmaker and a Member of Parliament in India. Her recent directorial debut, ‘Emergency’, where she portrayed Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, had a global theatrical release earlier this year.
Tyler Posey, famous for his role in ‘Teen Wolf’, brings his experience in the horror genre, having appeared in films like ‘Truth or Dare’. Scarlett Rose Stallone, the daughter of Hollywood icons Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin, has previously appeared in ‘Reach Me’ and starred alongside Nicolas Cage in The ‘Gunslingers’.
Fans of both Kangana Ranaut and horror enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Blessed Be The Evil’, which promises to bring a fresh and thrilling narrative to the international stage.
