Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is reportedly developing Mujhse Shaadi Karogi 2, a follow-up to the 2004 comedy blockbuster directed by David Dhawan.
The film is currently in the scripting stage, reports The Free Press Journal.
The original super hit film starred Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra, and became a fan favourite for its humour, storyline, music as well as memorable performances. The sequel was reported to star Kartik Aaryan and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles.
An official announcement is yet to be made.
However, the rumours are not accurate. An industry source told Hindustan Times, “The rumours of Kartik being in talks for Mujhse Shaadi Karogi 2 are untrue. The actor is currently busy with filming his current project and has a few more in the pipeline that he wants to wrap up first.”
Last year, the film completed 20 years of its release.
