The globally super hits Korean drama “Descendants of the Sun” is set to launch in Bangladesh, with a Bangla-dubbed version premiering on the streaming platform Toffee starting tomorrow.
Fans in Bangladesh have been eagerly anticipating watching “Descendants of the Sun” in their own language.
Jasim Ahmed, owner of Views and Visions, has spearheaded this initiative, overseeing the entire dubbing process.
He expressed, “This is the first time a Bangla-dubbed version of a Korean series has been presented on such a large scale in Bangladesh. Families can enjoy the series together without the need for subtitles.”
The show is packed with emotion, romance, stunning locations, action, and a narrative of sacrifice, offering an exceptional experience for K-drama enthusiasts.
The Bangla-dubbed version features the voices of talented actors including Irfan Sajjad, Sharmin Joha Shashi, Rafiath Rashid Mithila, ABM Suman, Shamol Mawla, and Tariq Anam Khan, among others.
Directed by Khalid Hossain Abhi, the dubbing focuses on not just matching voices but also embodying the personalities of the characters for a more authentic connection to the scenes.
He emphasised the importance of smooth translation and context, ensuring that viewers feel this production is one of their own.
