Ira Khan, daughter of Aamir Khan, recently shared how she once struggled with guilt over not earning money despite being in her late 20s.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, the 28-year-old admitted feeling like a “useless person” after her parents invested so much in her. She said, “I am 26–27 years old, my parents have spent a lot of money on me, and I am not doing anything.”
Aamir, who was part of the conversation, clarified that Ira’s frustration stemmed from not earning before she founded Agatsu Foundation, her mental health support NGO.
Reassuring his daughter, Aamir said, "Whether you are earning money or not is not important to me. The fact that you are helping people matters. Money is just a promissory note; otherwise, it's just paper."
Ira has chosen a different path from her father, focusing on theatre and philanthropy instead of Bollywood. She recently married her longtime boyfriend, Nupur Shikhare.
