The world is shocked by the ongoing violence in Gaza. This barbarity has touched the hearts of people from all walks of life. Everyone is protesting from their places. Celebrities in the country’s showbiz arena also condemned the killings in Gaza and urges global conscience to awaken through social media posts.
Renowned actress Jaya Ahsan expressed strong condemnation over the reported killing of 15 emergency medical workers by Israeli forces in southern Gaza.
In a Facebook post, the actress wrote, “The Israeli forces have killed 15 emergency medical workers in southern Gaza. This is part of the ruthless and heartless genocide Israel has been carrying out in Gaza. They have set out with the intent to wipe Palestine off the face of the earth. I know that Israel will remain indifferent to global protests. But what about the rest of the world? The powerful leaders across the globe? Will the relentless killings of children, women, and civilians continue before everyone’s eyes? May the veils be lifted from the hearts of mankind! May Palestinians get the opportunity to live like human beings.”
Superstar Shakib Khan also extended his solidarity towards Gaza. He shared a post on Facebook. “Gaza is not just a Geographical name; it has become a Symbol of oppressed people. As heartbreaking as it is, the reality is that we can do nothing but Pray to Allah. I stand with them - with Love, Solidarity, and hope for Peace,” the post read.
Film actor Siam has also expressed his feelings. “I could never stop crying for Palestine. When the story of ‘Jongli’ was written, I kept imagining Palestinian children instead of birds. Can’t we gift a beautiful world to the children? When the ceasefire was in place, I still couldn’t find peace. I just kept thinking, how long will this last? How long will these people live? Won’t this world take responsibility for the hell that descended on them right after Eid? Can any of us, world leaders, Islamic scholars, Nobel laureates, and ordinary people, avoid this responsibility? Allah, open the doors of Paradise. This world is no longer for the people of Gaza. We couldn’t,” the actor wrote on his social media.
Singer Asif Akbar wrote, “Goodbye, the heavenly martyrs of Rafah-Gaza. May the followers of the best religion and their worst rulers live in bliss in the burning hell of the earth.”
In addition, many showbiz stars including Pori Moni, Shobnom Bubly, Sadia Ayman, Anika Kabir Shakh, singers Farzana Wahid Shayan and others have posted on their Facebook accounts to protest the incident and share their feelings.
