Recent reports suggest that 'Pushpa' star Allu Arjun is teaming up with 'Jawan' director Atlee for his next project. Previously, it was rumored that Atlee would collaborate with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on a high-budget 500-crore film. However, the latest update reveals that Allu Arjun will be replacing Salman Khan in Atlee's upcoming film.
According to a 123Telugu report, Atlee has demanded 100 crores for the project with the ‘Pushpa’ star. However, there is no official confirmation about the film or fee, reports The statesman.
Peeping Moon reports that although paperwork is pending, Allu Arjun has greenlit Atlee's project and is likely to begin as his next film. Pre-production is set to start by April-May, with shooting timelines being finalized.
Earlier reports suggested that Allu Arjun was set to collaborate with director Trivikram Srinivas after the massive success of Pushpa 2. However, his schedule may be delayed, and he is now expected to begin working on Atlee's next project, which he has shown interest in.
In addition, reports indicate that Janhvi Kapoor is being considered to star opposite Allu Arjun in the film, though this is yet to be confirmed. Janhvi recently gained attention in Telugu cinema for her performance in the song Chuttamalle from Devara, and she is also working on a film with Ram Charan directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
Atlee's previous project, Baby John which starred Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jacky Shroff, generated significant buzz but failed to perform well at the box office.
