Since 2002, the "Amar Bhashar Cholochitro Utsab" (My Language Film Festival) has been organized by the Dhaka University Film Society to promote Bengali cinema during the month of language. This year marks the 23rd edition of the festival.
One of the films featured in the festival is ‘Deyaler Desh (The Country of Walls)’; starring Shobnom Bubly and Sariful Razz, set to be screened on the evening of February 18. The film is directed by Mishuk Moni and cinematographed by Sahil Rony.
Speaking about the film, actress Bubly said, "As a former student of Dhaka University, I have long known that the university's film society has been organizing this festival for 34 years. I am genuinely thrilled that my film ‘Deyaler Desh’ will be featured in this year's festival. I warmly invite the audience to come and enjoy the film, and I am also excited to watch it myself during the event."
The festival will continue until February 19. The organizers have announced that tickets for the selected films will be available for 50 taka.
