The 23rd “Amar Bhashar Cholocchitro” began at the “Student Teacher Centre” (TSC) auditorium of Dhaka University on Saturday. Usually, only the famous and popular movies of Bangladesh are screened at this festival. It is seen that many star artistes also enjoy their films sitting with the students.
Four movies will be screened every day at the Dhaka University Film Society-organised festival. The event will start every day at 10:00am. After that, the shows will be held at 1:00 pm, 3:30pm and 6:30pm.
“Arunodayer Agnisakshi”, “Bhat De”, “Live from Dhaka”and “Peyarar Subash” were screened on the first day of the festival. Three films “Kittonkhola”, “Rickshaw Girl”, “Kajol Rekha” will be screened today.
“Subarnarekha”, “Molla Barir Bou”, “Toofan”, “Nakshi Kanthar Jamin” on 17 February. “Devdas”, “Bataser Fena”, “Fatima” and “Deyaler Desh” will be screened on 18 February And “Dosto Dushmon”, “Ammajan”, “Boli” and “Priyo Maloti” will be screened on the last day of the festival.
The movie “Deyaler Desh” directed by Mishuk Moni, starring the popular heroine of the time, Bubly, will be screened at 6:30pm on 18 February on the fourth day of the festival. “Kajol Rekha” directed by Gias Uddin Selim, starring newcomer Mandira Chakraborty, will be screened today at 6:30pm.
Mehazabien Chowdhury-starrer film “Priyo Maloti” will be screened as the last movie of the festival on 19 February. The Shankh Das Gupta-directed film will be shown at 6:30pm.
