A musical concert titled “Shafin Ahmed: Echoes of a Legend” will take place in the city on Thursday. This tribute concert has been organized to honor Shafin Ahmed, the iconic figure of Bangladeshi band music.
The concert will take place at the Aloki Convention Center in Tejgaon, Dhaka. Five popular bands and a rapper will perform at the concert. The band includes Shafin Ahmed’s Miles, Feedback, Dalchhut, Artcell, AvoidRafa, and rapper OZ, among others.
Besides the performance, the concert will feature various mementos of Shafin Ahmed’s life and a documentary video based on his career.
Shafin Ahmed passed away on 24 July last year. The singer went to Virginia, USA, to perform a concert in the middle of last year. But he fell ill before the start of the second concert. Soon after, he was admitted to the hospital, after being on life support for two days, the artist passed away.
The tribute concert is being organised by Velvet Events. Tickets are available on the Get Set Rock website. The concert will start at 9:00pm, and the gates will open for the audience at 6:00 pm.
