Golam Rabbani’s short film ‘Untongue’ has earned the Honorable Mention Award at both the Venice Intercultural Film Festival and the Budapest Film Festival, as confirmed by the director.
The film was both written and directed by Gulam Rabbani.
Made in early 2024, the film tells the story of people's freedom of speech and their fundamental right to speak. It has already been praised both domestically and internationally.
‘Untongue’ has been showcased at various festivals, including the Hill Film Festival, BUFF Film Fest, Independent Film Festival, and Mobile Film Festival.
Previously, Gulam Rabbani directed the short film ‘Surot’, which won the Special Mention Award in the Spiritual Film category at the 22nd Dhaka International Film Festival. His upcoming short films ‘Stitch Life’ and ‘Nishi’ are awaiting release.
