Directed and written by Peter Hastings, this action comedy spin-off is set in the world of Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017).

himself to protecting and serving. Meanwhile, he relentlessly pursues to stop his arch-nemesis, Petey the Cat, a cunning feline mastermind.

The film showcases a voice cast led by Pete Davidson, Isla Fisher, Lil Rel Howery, Poppy Liu, Billy Boyd, Ricky Gervais, and Stephen Root, with Hastings providing the hybrid voice for the titular character.

Captain America: Brave New World / February 14, 2025

This is the first full-length feature film inspired by Marvel Comics centered on the character Sam Wilson aka Captain America. This cinematic venture marks Anthony Mackie’s debut in the iconic role, following the conclusion of Chris Evans’ trilogy with ‘Captain America: Civil War’ (2016). Mackie, starring as Wilson, formerly known as Falcon, takes up the mantle of Captain America in the 2021 miniseries- ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’.

Set to be the 35th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the movie introduces the iconic superhero as part of Phase 5.

Julius Onah’s direction and Rob Edwards’ screenplay shape the sci-fi action film which boasts the writing team comprising Onah & Peter Glanz and Dalan Musson & Malcolm Spellman.

The narrative follows Sam Wilson, who becomes embroiled in an international crisis right after Thaddeus Ross ascends to the presidency. Wilson must navigate a web of deception to uncover and thwart the puppeteers behind the chaos.

The action movie also assembles some iconic characters including Red Hulk (Harrison Ford), Falcon (Danny Ramirez), Sidewinder (Giancarlo Esposito), and Diamondback (Rosa Salazar).

Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Liv Tyler, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, Xosha Roquemore, and Tim Blake Nelson round out the supporting cast.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures holds the distribution rights.

This action-packed adventure revolves around a team of supervillains enlisted by the government to undertake high-risk missions.

The ensemble cast includes Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Olga Kurylenko, and Lewis Pullman. Wyatt Russell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Geraldine Viswanathan, Chris Bauer, and Wendell Edward Pierce play the other pivotal characters.

Superman / July 11, 2025

This famous DC comic character is brought back to life again under the meticulous writing and direction of James Gunn. Screening rights secured by Warner Bros. Pictures, this DC Studios production launches the new DC Universe (DCU), serving as a reboot of the Superman saga.

This film draws inspiration from the ‘All-Star Superman’ comic book series (2005–2008) by Frank Quitely and Grant Morrison. The storyline follows Clark Kent’s internal conflict as he grapples with his Kryptonian roots while finding his life among his adoptive human family in the quiet town of Smallville.

Starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent aka Superman, the fantasy film presents a new dynamic with Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luther.

The adventure movie unites more legendary superheroes including Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion), Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi), Metamorpho (Anthony Carrigan), and Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced).

The additional cast includes Wendell Pierce, Neva Howell, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Skyler Gisondo.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps / July 25, 2025

Under the production of Marvel Studios, this action fantasy marks the second reboot of the film series featuring the Marvel superhero group the Fantastic Four. Slated to be the 37th movie in the MCU, it also stands as the first entry of Phase 6.

Helmed by Matt Shakman, the sci-fi adventure excels with the screenwriting team of Peter Cameron, Jeff Kaplan, Josh Friedman, Ian Springer, Eric Pearson, and Cameron Squires.

Set in the retro-futuristic world based on the 1960s, this thrilling action movie delves into the journey of the Fantastic Four. They must protect the world from the all-consuming force of Galactus and the Silver Surfer.

The titular team features Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Human Torch. Ralph Ineson portrays Galactus and Julia Garner portrays Silver Surfer. The additional cast includes Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Sarah Niles, and Natasha Lyonne.

The film’s distribution credit goes to Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

The superhero movies of 2025 unite legendary icons and fresh faces in a dynamic fusion of nostalgia and innovation, crafting bold new stories.

With ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, ‘Thunderbolts*’, and ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, Marvel delivers a powerhouse lineup of action and fantasy, redefining its universe.

‘Superman’ returns as the timeless heart of DC, embodying the enduring charm that has captivated fans for generations. ‘Dog Man’ brings its beloved graphic novel humor to life, blending animated comedy with adventures for all ages.

Together, these releases set the stage for the next evolution of superhero cinema, reshaping the future of the genre.
