Iconic singer Sabina Yasmin collapsed on stage while performing after a year-long break and was immediately taken to a private hospital in the capital.
The incident occurred during the event " Amader Sabina Yasmin: Ami Achi Thakbo", held at a five-star hotel in Dhaka on Friday.
Nevertheless, she recovered after receiving initial treatment at the hospital.
Singer Jahangir Sayed informed the media about the incident, saying, "Sabina Apa has a vertigo issue. While singing, she suddenly experienced vertigo and lost her balance while trying to hold onto the microphone stand. She collapsed, and we immediately took her to the hospital. The doctors provided initial treatment, and by 10:30 pm, we were on our way home with her."
Singer Dithi Anwar also confirmed her illness, assuring that while Sabina Yasmin remains under medical care, she is out of danger.
Sabina Yasmin had last performed on stage in late 2023 during multiple shows in Australia. Since then, she remained away from live performances while undergoing cancer treatment.
According to event organisers, this was her first time on stage in nearly a year, and she was scheduled to perform again on the same stage on Saturday.
