B. Prasad was awarded Mr. World Bangladesh 2024, earning the opportunity to represent the country at the upcoming Mr. World 2024 competition in Vietnam, in an impressive ceremony at Le Méridien Dhaka, reports Banglanews24.
Shamsul Alom was named the 1st Runner-Up, while Serajus Salekin and Rafsan Jany were jointly awarded the 2nd Runner-Up position.
A distinguished panel of judges included Robert McKelvey, a prominent businessman, Sanjida Arefin Luna, an acclaimed fashion choreographer, Khaled Sujan, a top professional model and fashion icon, and Don Sumdany, a well-respected corporate trainer. Enhancing the event's prestige, it was attended by Mehedi Hasan Fahim, the current Mr. World Bangladesh 2019, and Shammi Islam Nila, Miss World Bangladesh 2023.
In his speech, Engr. Mehedi Hasan, Licensee and Chairman of Omicon Entertainment, expressed:
“Julia Morley’s Mr. World Bangladesh is more than a competition—it’s a platform for creating change-makers who will elevate the nation's image on the global stage.”
Dola Hasan, Chairman of the Miss World Bangladesh Organization, highlighted the significance of the pageant in promoting leadership and charitable initiatives:
“Through platforms like Mr. World, we empower individuals to not only excel in their fields but to also drive positive change in society.”
The grand event received its license from Omicon Entertainment and was organized by Aristocrat Events and The Platform, with Xposure Fashions providing photography support. The sponsors included Premier Printing Press, BioScience AgroChem, TechVen Properties, and Prems Collection.
As the 11th edition of Mr. World is scheduled for November in Vietnam, Bangladesh's representative is prepared to shine on the international stage and uphold the nation’s pride.
