Abhishek Bachchan attended the Filmfare OTT Awards 2024 in Mumbai, where he presented an award to Kareena Kapoor, his co-star from his 2000 debut. During the event, Abhishek engaged in a lighthearted conversation with the host, offering humorous "husband tips" that quickly gained attention on the internet, especially amid growing rumours of a potential separation from his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

The conversation took an interesting turn when Abhishek was asked how he manages to silence critics through his performances. In response, he said, “It is very simple. It has nothing to do with us. We do what the directors tell us to do. Chup chaap kaam karke ghar aa jaate hai” (Do your job and go home). The host then compared Abhishek’s approach to following his wife’s instructions, to which he quipped, “Haan. All married men have to do that...do as your wife says.” The clip, shared by Filmfare on Instagram, quickly went viral.

Amid these lighthearted moments, speculation about Abhishek and Aishwarya’s relationship has been growing. Rumours of a possible separation gained momentum when Abhishek was not seen at his daughter Aaradhya's 13th birthday celebration, which Aishwarya shared pictures of without him. However, an event management company involved in the party clarified the situation by posting two videos on Instagram, showing that Abhishek had indeed participated in the celebrations. One video featured Aishwarya, accompanied by Aaradhya, thanking the company for organizing the event over the years, while another showed Abhishek expressing his gratitude.

The rumours further intensified when the couple attended a high-profile wedding in July separately. Abhishek also liked an Instagram post about “grey divorces,” a trend of older couples parting ways, which fueled further speculation. The post discussed why long-term marriages face challenges, with a specific focus on why such divorces are on the rise.

Despite the ongoing rumours, both Abhishek and Aishwarya have made efforts to dismiss speculation regarding their relationship.
