Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul stated on Monday that the allies of fascism are investing millions of taka to deteriorate the law and order situation. Although some of these individuals have escaped, the majority remain inside the country.
He made the remarks during a workshop on law enforcement emphasizing on human rights and the environment in the context of the country's changing situation, held at the PTI conference hall in Rajshahi.
Adviser Asif Nazrul said the government is working with several dismantled institutions in the new Bangladesh, including the police force.
He pointed out the fragility of the police force, from recruitment to all other aspects.
Despite some failures in governance, he assured that the government is working sincerely to overcome them.
During the conference, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam said that a group is trying to prevent stability in the country and is attempting to create an unstable environment by any means.
However, he assured that the present government is placing the utmost focus on human rights and taking steps to stabilize the law and order situation. Key criminals are being arrested as part of the ongoing Operation Devil Hunt.
