Religious Affairs Advisor AFM Khalid Hossain said the country hasn’t been leased to any specific party as they will remain in power by killing the domoecracy.
“The countrymen have been deprived of the right to cast votes for long. Its recurrence won’t be tolerated this time," he said.
He also said, “The upcoming national elections will be held in broad daylight and there will be no voting at night. The interim government will hand over power to the elected representatives in a fair manner.”
The advisor to the Ministry of Religious Affairs said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting held at the Nesarabad Islamic Complex in Jhalokati on Tuesday morning.
The advisor to the interim government's religious affairs also said, “Communal harmony is currently strictly maintained in the country. However, a neighboring state is spreading propaganda about it, which is completely false.”
Superintendent of Police Ujjal Kumar Roy, Amirul Muslihin Maulana Khalilur Rahman Nesarabadi, Associate Professor of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Chittagong University Dr. Shahidul Haque, and others also spoke at the event, while it was chaired by District Administrator Ashrafur Rahman.
