Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Wednesday forecasted that weather may remain mainly dry for the next twenty-four hours beginning this morning.
"Weather may remain mainly dry with the temporary partly cloudy sky over the country", according to the forecast, which begins at 9am on Wednesday.
The low-pressure area over central parts of the south Bay of Bengal and adjoining area persists. Its associated trough extends up to the North Bay. A ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining areas, reports BSS.
Night and day temperatures may fall slightly over the country. Light to moderate fog may occur at places all over the country from midnight till morning.
The country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 33.0 degrees Celsius at Cox's Bazar and the minimum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 08.8 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
The sun sets on Wednesday at 05:16pm and rises on Thursday at 06:36am in Dhaka.
