Dr. Colonel (Retd.) Oli Ahmad Bir Bikram, President of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), has declined the invitation to attend the Victory Day reception at Bangabhaban hosted by the President.
Although invited to the Victory Day event, he decided not to participate.
He rejected the invitation, stating that President Mohammed Shahabuddin is an ally of the fascist Hasina regime, with blood of students and the public on his hands. For this reason, Colonel (Retd.) Oli Ahmad Bir Bikram, the first decorated freedom fighter of the Liberation War, chose not to attend the event.
