BNP Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said that if the government remains in power indefinitely under the guise of reforms, it will only escalate conspiracy and instability. He stressed that a clear election roadmap is essential to guide the public towards the polls, which would thwart any attempts by defeated forces to create unrest.
He made these remarks on Saturday (Dec 7) during a discussion organized by the NPP at the National Press Club.
BNP's senior leader stated that everyone must remain united to prevent any group from establishing dominance.
He emphasized the need to guide the public towards elections with a clear election roadmap, stating that this would render all conspiracies by the opposition futile.
People's right to vote must be restored immediately, as failing to bring about a change in government through elections will lead to the public ousting them, he added.
He claimed that if the interim government remains in power for an extended period, instability will increase.
However, if the public is directed towards elections, it will be possible to combat anti-national conspiracies.
