Posts, Telecommunications and ICT adviser Md Nahid Islam said Kajal, who were injured in mass uprising in July, will be sent to Thailand for better treatment.
Adviser Nahid Islam, special assistant to health adviser Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman, DG of Health Directorate Professor Abu Zafar and National Citizen Committee leader Dr. Ahad came to visit injured Kajal in the hospital on Saturday.
During the visit, Nahid shared the information.
Kajal outstretched his two arms to get his chest open like Abu Sayed in Jatrabari of the capital. He was hit in the head by the police and got injured. After that, he was admitted to the National Institute of Neurosciences (NINS) and receiving treatment. Kajal was battling death for the past three months.
Neuroscience Hospital doctor Humayun Kabir Himu said, “He was gradually improving. But two days ago suddenly got an infection. He had diarrhea several times. Due to this, his blood pressure dropped and he went into shock. Later treatment started by forming board at NINS. The situation started to worsen from this morning. Board meeting is held today. His condition was reported to Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum. After knowing Kajol's condition, she took quick action.”
He said that the advisor Nahid Islam came to NINS on the advice of the health advisor. He came and spoke to the doctors. He made arrangements to take Kajal to Bejthani Hospital in Thailand. But visa is not available as it is Saturday. The Information Adviser contacted the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Finance regarding his visa and expenses and got green signal from both ministries. Later it was decided that Kajol will be taken to Thailand by air ambulance.
