Police arrest key suspect in hill people-Bengalis clash

Police arrested the main perpetrator of the clash between hill people and Bengalis over the murder of Mamun from Khagrachhari district in the early hours of Thursday, reports BSS.

A brief message from the Police Headquarters confirmed the arrest.

The individual arrested was Md. Didarul Alam, Khagrachhari Awami League Organizing Secretary.

Alam was an accused in the Mamun murder case in Khagrachhari and a fugitive in 40 other cases.
