Dhaka University decided to remove the quota for freedom fighters' grandchildren and said the quota will now only apply to the children of freedom fighters for undergraduate admissions on Tuesday.
A press release stated that the decision will be applied from the 2024-25 academic year, reports the Daily Star.
Authorities said if qualified candidates are not available from the fixed quotas, vacant posts will be filled from the general merit list.
