BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed grave concern as the ghosts of the ousted fascist government are engaged in hatching a conspiracy to foil the achievement of the student movement.
“The fascist government faced a complete debacle. Their brainchild fled, but the remnants are still conspiring to create instability in the country,” Tarique said while addressing a rally held at Jashore Town Hall Maidan on Tuesday.
The programme was organised marking the 6th death anniversary of BNP Standing Committee Member Tariqul Islam.
Taking part in the meeting virtually from London, Tarique Rahman said his party believes in reforms that bring a change to the fate of poor people, create job opportunities for unemployed groups and ensure health facilities for the countrymen.
“I don’t support bringing changes in any lines or words of any books in the name of reforms,” said the BNP leader.
Commemorating several political achievements of the late leader, Tarique, in his speech, said Tariqul Islam’s contribution to BNP politics is unforgettable.
