Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday forecasted rain or thundershowers at different places across the country for the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am friday morning.
"Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Barishal and Chattogram divisions," said BMD latest weather bulletin Friday morning, reports BSS.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.
The country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 35.5 degree Celsius at Feni in Chattogram division and today's minimum temperature was recorded 21.6 degree Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 53 millimeters (mm) at Barishal in Barishal division.
The sun sets at 05:30 pm today and rises at 05:58 am tomorrow in the capital.
