Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places with heavy to very heavy falls at some places in the country, a met release said on Monday, reports BSS.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with heavy to very heavy falls at some places over the country", it said.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, the met forecast said valid for next 24 hours from 9am Monday.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 33.4 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur and minimum temperature was 24.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Sitakunda, Rangamati and Kutubdia.
Country's highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am Monday was recorded 322 millimeters (mm) at Chattogram.
