Bangladesh Metrological Department (BMD) forecast rains in parts of Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions commencing 9 am on Monday, reports UNB.
“Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at one or two places over Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” said the morning bulletin BMD.
The weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it added.
Meanwhile, a severe heat wave is sweeping Nilphamari and Dinajpur districts and it is likely to continue.
Besides, a mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and some parts of Rangpur division and Mymensingh, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Cumilla, Chandpur, Noakhali and Bandarban district. The heat wave may continue, added the bulletin.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature was recorded at 41.1 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur on Sunday, while the lowest temperature was recorded at 23.6 degrees in Dhaka's Kishoreganj on Monday.
