Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak said the government has given a subsidy of Tk 15,000 crore in the agriculture sector till October of the current fiscal year as the highest priority for food security.
He came up with the information while addressing a meeting of the National Coordination and Advisory Committee on Fertilizers at the Secretariat on Monday.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun and members of the committee were present.
The Agriculture Minister said fertilizer supply has been ensured across the country by subsidy to keep the continuation of agricultural production.
