After opening of Electronic Gates (E-gates) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, six electronic gates will be introduced at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport, reports UNB.
The E-gates will be inaugurated on Tuesday to make the immigration process faster and improve the quality of services, said Wing Commander Taslim Ahmed, director of the airport.
He said, the E-gates will be managed by immigration police and camera will be installed in each gate.
According to the airport authority, passengers can easily pass through the E-gates as the gates will be opened automatically after submitting e-passport and the whole process will be completed within 30 seconds.
Earlier on June 7, 12 E-gates were inaugurated at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
