Bangladesh on Monday reported six more Covid-19 death in 24 hours while it recorded 718 new coronavirus-positive cases during the period, reports BSS.
According to the latest statement of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), country reported 13.58 per cent Covid-19 positive cases as 5,288 samples were tested during the last 24 hours.
During the past 24 hours, the combined figure of coronavirus infection in Dhaka district and the capital is 573 while two Covid-19 deaths were reported during the period.
The official tally showed that the virus killed 29,359 people and infected 20,22,408 so far, the statement added.
The recovery count rose to 19,63,308 after another 436 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the last 24 hours.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 97.08 per cent Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people while 1.45 per cent died, the DGHS statistics showed.
